Cybersecurity Engineer

About the Role
Design, implement, and monitor cybersecurity controls to protect systems, detect threats early, and respond effectively to incidents while improving organizational security posture.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Harden systems against known vulnerabilities
• Detect and respond to threats promptly
• Maintain compliant security monitoring coverage
• Reduce critical incidents through remediation
• Improve security posture with continuous assessments

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or operations
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, endpoint security, and incident response
• Knowledge of network security, Windows/Linux security, and threat models
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM) preferred
• SIEM (Splunk, QRadar)
• Threat detection & hunting
• Incident response & forensics
• Vulnerability management (Nessus, Qualys)
• Cloud security (AWS/Azure)
• Network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
• Secure scripting (Python/Bash)
• Analytical thinking
• Problem solving under pressure
• Clear technical communication
