Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the Commissioning function at project and design review meetings.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of the project commissioning philosophy.
- Manage commissioning design changes and the production of as-built project documentation.
- Support Project Managers in issuing claims related to new scope, cost impact, time impact, and risk quantifications.
- Create work plans and proactively manage responsibilities to meet project deadlines, quality, and cost targets.
- Conduct risk and opportunity assessments during the commissioning phase to ensure safety and identify potential contract claims.
- Serve as the company lead for commissioning activities on projects, ensuring professional interaction with customers.
- Interface with customers and external providers for approval of plant acceptance criteria and closure of open issues.
- Coordinate site activities to finalize customer acceptance certification.
- Manage external organizations providing commissioning equipment, systems, or services.
- Coach colleagues and develop best practices within the unit.
- Ensure compliance with relevant external and internal regulations.
Your Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with in-depth knowledge of Networking and Cybersecurity.
- Certifications/Training: Nozomi, Fortinet, IEC62443 (all 4 modules), and advantageous knowledge in Fortinet and CISCO Networking.
- 5 to 10 years of experience as a Commissioning Engineer in Cybersecurity, with a strong background in large and medium complex projects.
- Preferably possess utility approvals in the UAE.
- Strong analytical and strategic approach with high customer orientation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Thorough knowledge of Networking & Cybersecurity implementation, including Malware protection and firewall configuration.
- Implementation experience of Substation Automation systems and communication protocols (IEC101, IEC104, IEC61850).
- Proficiency in spoken and written Arabic and English is required.
