Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the Commissioning function at project meetings and design reviews.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of the project commissioning philosophy.
- Manage commissioning design changes and produce as-built project documentation.
- Support continuous improvement of project processes as well as product and system design by providing lessons learned feedback.
- Aid Project Managers in issuing claims related to new scope of work, cost impacts, and risk quantifications.
- Create and manage work plans in your area of responsibility to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Conduct risk and opportunity assessments during the commissioning phase.
- Act as the main point of contact for commissioning activities and ensure professionalism in client interactions.
- Coordinate site activities for customer acceptance certification.
- Manage external organizations involved in commissioning equipment, systems, or services.
- Develop and coach colleagues and build a professional network within and outside the business unit.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of Networking and Cybersecurity with relevant certifications (e.g., Nozomi, Fortinet, IEC62443 - all 4 modules).
- 5 to 10 years of experience as a Commissioning Engineer in the field of Cybersecurity, specifically in relation to large and medium complex projects.
- Preference for candidates with utility approval experience in the UAE.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills coupled with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High customer orientation with good communication and presentation skills.
- Thorough understanding of Networking & Cybersecurity implementation, including malware protection, whitelisting, and firewall configuration.
- Experience with Substation automation systems and various communication protocols.
- Proficient understanding of GRS systems, including protocols such as IEC101, IEC104, and IEC61850.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written Arabic and English is required.
