Data Analyst - Contract

Transform institutional data into actionable insights through advanced analysis, visualization, and reporting to support decision-making and policy formulation for the SDD.

Location: Sharjah, Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates
Contract Duration: 12 months (renewable to long-term/permanent)
Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Notice Period Allowed: 30 days or less
Benefits: Benefits applicable for self as per UAE Labour Law, including medical insurance coverage for employee’s spouse and up to two children

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, clean, and visualize data using Excel, Power BI, and Tableau.
• Develop interactive dashboards and KPI reports.
• Query and manage relational databases using SQL.
• Monitor and troubleshoot pre-configured ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Perform predictive and trend analysis to support governance and planning.
• Maintain data dictionaries, metadata documentation, and compliance reports.
• Collaborate with teams and explain findings to non-technical audiences.
• Automate reports using Excel macros, Power Automate, or Power BI scripting.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in data analysis, BI, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, or Computer Science.
• Proficiency in Power BI/Tableau, SQL, and Excel.
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics.
• BI/Analytics certifications (Power BI/Tableau) preferred.
