About the Role:
We are seeking a Data Analyst who can navigate complex databases, identify the root cause of problems, and design solutions through coding. The Data Science team directly collaborates with product teams to uncover insights, guide decisions, and enhance customer experiences at the company.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Building and maintaining trusted datasets for reporting and analytics from multiple source systems
  • Supporting database sharding and data residency programs
  • Validating data accuracy between source systems and replicated datasets, investigating discrepancies
  • Owning delivery around requirements, data mapping, transformation logic, scheduling, monitoring, and fixes
  • Defining, implementing, and documenting business metrics for consistent, audit-ready reporting
  • Creating and maintaining new aggregated views and tables for simplified data querying
  • Coordinating with Product Engineering, DevOps/SRE, and Data to ensure reliable ETL delivery
  • Maintaining documentation and governance for datasets, including specs, metric definitions, lineage, and access classification
  • Partnering with stakeholders to convert questions into scalable data products

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical role with a focus on impactful data-driven solutions
  • Strong background or education in a quantitative discipline
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, or other programming languages
  • Experience with financial services datasets (e.g., payments, ledger, reconciliations, fraud/risk, regulatory reporting)
  • Proven track record in implementing data quality controls and reconciliation checks for sensitive datasets
  • Solid mathematical and statistical knowledge

Nice to Have:

  • Advanced degree in a core STEM subject
  • Knowledge of data governance practices
  • Familiarity with orchestration and transformation tools (e.g., Airflow)
  • Experience in building dashboards with Looker
