You will also handle deployment and integration by collaborating with software engineers to deploy models into production systems, integrating them into decision-making processes and applications. Ensuring data quality is vital; you will identify and resolve any inconsistencies and utilize Power BI features for monitoring data quality while establishing best practices for data governance. Communication will be key, as you'll need to present complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring insights are understandable and actionable. In terms of administration, you will manage and update the gateway, create connections to data sources, and manage user roles and access for secure data transfer between on-premises sources and Power BI services. Lastly, a commitment to continuous learning is essential as you stay updated on the latest developments in Power BI and data analysis techniques, contributing proactively to process improvement initiatives.
Technical Competencies: You should have proficiency in collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing data using Power Query for transformation. Experience in querying databases with SQL and integrating data into Power BI is crucial, alongside expertise in building and optimizing data models within Power BI, with a focus on efficient relationships and utilizing DAX. A strong foundation in statistical concepts with experience in R and Python integration for advanced analysis is important. Additionally, the ability to optimize the performance of existing dashboards and an understanding of ethical considerations in data governance will contribute to your success in this role.
