Position

The Data Analyst will be responsible for understanding project requirements through Business Discovery Sessions. This role involves collaboration with internal teams such as system support, DBA, and MIS teams to translate existing requirements into the desired data mart and reports. Key responsibilities include preparing data mapping documents for the development of various layers of the data platform (raw – bronze, EDM – silver, project-specific – gold), and providing support during various project phases to data engineers, data modelers, QA testers, and PowerBI developers.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively design data solutions. The position requires attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work, along with excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment are crucial.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Strong data querying and processing skills utilizing SQL, Oracle, Apache Spark, or similar languages.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Business Objects, or Crystal Reports.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL concepts.

Competencies:

  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python; experience with SAS/R/Spark is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of distributed data processing frameworks, particularly Apache Spark.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), including object storage, compute, networking, and data integration services.
  • Experience working with various data formats (e.g., JSON, Parquet, Avro, XML).
  • Knowledge of data governance, quality assurance, and compliance best practices.
  • Strong grasp of core computer science fundamentals relevant to performance-critical data engineering.

Language Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English is expected.
