The Data Science team at the company is tasked with solving complex problems utilizing smart and practical solutions. As a Data Analyst, you will collaborate with product teams to derive insights, guide decisions, and enhance customer experiences. Your role will involve directly working with complex databases to identify the root cause of problems and devising solutions through code.
What You'll Be Doing
- Handling finance-related requests and providing ongoing data support.
- Managing the end-to-end delivery of data for management information systems (MIS), regulatory reporting, and operational reports.
- Performing data mapping and discovery to identify and document relevant data sources and business requirements.
- Executing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to ensure accurate data for reporting and analysis.
- Designing key metrics to evaluate various business aspects and employing data management tools for effective financial processes.
- Ensuring the integration and maintenance of new business into existing financial reporting systems, controls, and processes.
- Collaborating with controllers to enhance dashboards for tracking metrics and visualizing insights.
- Promoting data literacy across the company and organizing workshops.
What You'll Need
- 4+ years of experience in a data analysis role.
- Proficient in Python and SQL.
- Strong background/education in a quantitative discipline.
- Attention to detail, quality-focused, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
Nice to Have
- A background in finance (preferably within a bank) and regulatory reporting experience.
- Experience in preparing reports for external parties/authorities.
- Familiarity with tools like Airflow, Trino, and Looker.
- Skills in additional programming languages such as Java, Scala, or C++.
