Steer Studios (formerly known as Savvy Games Studios) mission is to create a world-leading game studios in Saudi Arabia, creating high-quality games for international audiences. Also to help Saudi’s passionate gaming sector to develop homegrown IP and more broadly, make KSA a global hub for gaming.
As part of the Steer studios team, you will work alongside the best global gaming talents who have relocated to Riyadh to be part of the ambitious group, and innovative, passionate and hardworking Saudis. Steer Studios is seeking a Data Analyst to directly influence games production, business and go to market strategies. As Data expert, s/he will work closely with production teams to ensure all features, creative assets and in-game content will be a success. You will work directly with the Game teams, User Acquisition teams, Monetization teams and CMK teams to make them understand how players interact with our games and to highlight how and which content has to be optimized according to each player’s behavior.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze consumer behaviors, which can be better understood with data.
- Build solutions for customer segmentation and targeting, propensity modelling, churn modelling, lifetime value estimation, forecasting, recommendation systems, modelling response to incentives, and price optimization.
- Structure experiments and build mathematical models to identify game optimizations points which will help game developers improve player experience.
- Provide testing techniques and methodologies in order to assess the impact and effectiveness of business initiatives.
- Ad-hoc analysis of game data and market behavior of the mobile games industry.
- Develop clear visualizations to convey complicated data in straightforward fashion for other departments and stakeholders.
- Communicate and report to the Head of the division and all relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications & Key Skills
- Experience within the mobile gaming field is essential.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics or Applied Mathematics or equivalent.
- Excellent applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
- Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, NumPy, MatLab.
- High levels of emotional intelligence with the ability to build a strong rapport with a variety of stakeholders.
- An expert in SQL and RDBMS concepts, including experience in working with large data sets.
- Good scripting and programming skills using languages like Java, Scala, Python, R or Perl.
- Experience of visually communicating results and working alongside designers, producers, and marketing teams.
- Experience working with data pipelines and modeling in a production environment.
- Fluent in English, any additional language is an added value.
