About the Job
The Data and Analytics Specialist role at NEOM focuses on supporting the strategy, policymaking, and data analytics function within the Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE). This position involves reviewing and analyzing relevant labor data and undertaking various policy tasks as directed by the line manager. The specialist will be responsible for understanding research needs, collaborating with internal and external tech providers, analyzing data for regulatory and policy development, and assisting in the creation of educational materials regarding NEOM's Labor Law and Regulations.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

  • Coordinate with DoLE teams to understand research needs.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the DoLE strategy.
  • Collaborate with NEOM components to ensure relevant data collection.
  • Work with tech providers to design accessible data layers for DoLE.
  • Analyze data to support regulatory and policy development.
  • Develop educational materials for compliance with NEOM's Labor Law.
  • Support strategic thinking, economic analysis, and policy recommendations.
  • Stay informed of labor market trends in the GCC region and identify best practices.
  • Review and analyze data in the Enablon internal reporting system.

Background, Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong statistical and qualitative research skills with knowledge of data collection and dissemination.
  • Expertise in data analysis tools such as Excel and SPSS; proficiency in data visualization.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with a variety of teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of presenting complex information accessibly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and an interest in economic development and labor market topics.
  • At least 3 years of experience in statistical and/or data science roles.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, public policy, political and social science, economics, sociology, law, or other relevant fields.
  • Other educational qualifications may be accepted depending on their relevance to the role.
