Data Annotation Specialist

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our team to annotate and label various types of data including time-series, images, videos, and text. This role involves working closely with project guidelines and utilizing annotation tools such as CVAT or Label Studio. You will be responsible for tracking progress across multiple concurrent projects, identifying issues, and suggesting process improvements to ensure the quality and accuracy of annotated data.

Responsibilities

• Annotate and label time-series, image, video, and text data per project guidelines, using tools such as CVAT or Label Studio
• Track progress across multiple concurrent projects, identify issues and suggest process improvements
• Ensure quality and accuracy of annotated data via QC and validation against established standards
• Assist in preparing annotated datasets for model training by organizing and cleaning labeled data
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts, data scientists, ML engineers, and project managers; and maintain documentation

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience
• 2-5 years of relevant experience
• Good understanding of annotation types (bounding boxes, polygons, segmentation, keypoints)
• Hands-on experience with annotation platforms such as Label Studio, CVAT, Labelbox, or Supervisely
• Strong attention to detail; basic Excel/reporting skills, Python familiarity is a plus
