Data Architect

As a Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in defining the enterprise data architecture roadmap across various data domains, including operational, analytical, metadata, master, reference, and unstructured data. You will design scalable, cloud-native data architecture that aligns with business needs and digital transformation goals. Your key responsibilities will include:

  Architectural Strategy & Design

  • Selecting appropriate data storage technologies (e.g., Delta Lake, Data Lakehouse, SQL/NoSQL stores) based on use cases.

• Data Platform Leadership

  • Leading the architecture for ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption across batch and real-time data pipelines.
  • Defining standards and frameworks for metadata, data lineage, data quality, and cataloging.

• Governance & Security

  • Enforcing data governance, privacy, and compliance standards in collaboration with the data governance team.
  • Implementing security policies including data masking, encryption, access control, and audit logging.

Preferred Technical Expertise:

• Deep hands-on expertise in Azure Data Services (Data Lake Gen2, Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks).
• Familiarity with modern data lakehouse architectures (Delta Lake, Iceberg) and big data tools (Spark, Kafka, Hive).
• Strong knowledge of data modeling (3NF, Dimensional, Data Vault).
• Proficiency in orchestration tools and schedulers (Airflow, Azure Data Factory).
• Understanding of streaming pipelines using Kafka, Event Hub, or Databricks Structured Streaming.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL, and data virtualization is a plus.
• Exposure to MLOps, feature stores, and AI data lifecycle is an advantage.

• Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
