Key Responsibilities
- Support informed and data-driven decision making by defining conceptual, logical, and physical data models for the core data supporting the company and its subsidiaries.
- Develop and implement the core data model in the new Enterprise Data Management platform, enhancing data quality, integrity, access, and security.
- Establish modeling standards.
- Oversee the development of conceptual models to support the bank's technology platforms including data lake and analytics, collaborating with data modelers and business leads.
- Maintain current knowledge of banking and financial laws and regulations, as well as practices of international organizations.
- Ensure that examiners and other personnel are trained and proficient in utilizing data platforms and processes.
- Act as an ambassador for the brand in all internal and external customer interactions, communications, and processes.
Self-Management Responsibilities
- Establish performance goals at the beginning of the year in collaboration with the reporting manager, ensuring these goals are achieved throughout the year.
- Identify personal and team training and development needs with the reporting manager, organizing necessary training sessions.
- Aim for the highest levels of proficiency in all required competencies and skills for the role.
- Stay updated on professional developments, new techniques, and current industry issues through continuous education and professional growth.
Threshold Qualifications
Years & Nature of Experience
- Minimum of 10+ years in Data Architecture and Data Modeling, including at least 5 years in the Financial Services sector.
- Experience with various database technologies, vendors, and models such as RDBMS, Snowflake, Star schemas, or HDFS.
- Capability to comprehend business needs, gather requirements, and model them accordingly.
- Familiarity with a diverse range of Financial and Banking systems and applications.
- Strong ability to influence across all organizational levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Data certification such as CMDP or CIMP is advantageous.
