Role Purpose:
This role caters to a data architect who seeks a balance between technical execution and strategic influence. You'll actively design and build data solutions while also providing leadership and shaping the overall data strategy.
Key Accountabilities:
- Data Architecture: Oversee the design and implementation of robust data architectures, ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of data platforms. Lead data strategy & craft technical solutions.
- **Expertise in advanced & predictive analytics (ML, AI) to unlock insights from big data.
- **Design and implement a scalable, secure, and future-proof data architecture to accommodate evolving business needs.
- **Manage and optimize big data technologies and infrastructure, such as Hadoop, Spark, and other distributed computing frameworks.
- **Implement and enforce data governance policies, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- **Lead the integration of disparate data sources, both structured and unstructured, to create a unified and comprehensive analysis and reporting.
- **Oversee the management of data lifecycle, including storage, access, and quality control.
- **Implement KPIs to monitor and measure the success of data science and engineering initiatives, making data-driven decisions.
- **Engage with internal and external clients to understand their data needs, provide insights, and deliver solutions that address business challenges.
- **Foster a culture of trial and innovation, encouraging the exploration of new technologies and methodologies to enhance data capabilities.
- **Establish and implement security protocols to protect sensitive data, adhering to relevant data NEOM & KSA regulations.
- **Lead the evaluation and selection of new data technologies and tools.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of experience as a Data Architect or similar hands-on technical role.
- Proven record of successfully designing and implementing complex data architectures.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and methodologies.
- Experience with data governance and data security principles.
- Experience with relational databases, data warehousing, and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Deep understanding of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent SQL, Python, Shell programming skills.
- Experience with real-time data streaming and data warehousing solutions.
- Familiarity with data mesh principles and API design.
- Experience in Mobility domain is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Statistics, Computer Science or a related analytical field.
- Advanced degree and/ Or certifications in Data Architecture preferred.
