Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of data center construction and expansion projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Track and monitor all ongoing construction efforts, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure alignment with business and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to integrate IT, power, and cooling requirements into the construction process.
- Manage relationships with construction firms, suppliers, and other vendors to ensure high-quality service and adherence to project specifications.
- Conduct performance evaluations of vendors and contractors to ensure contract compliance and optimal project outcomes.
- Provide technical expertise in civil, mechanical, and construction engineering to ensure structural integrity, cooling efficiency, and power management in high-density AI computing environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data center construction, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution, structural engineering, and fire suppression systems in high-density computing environments.
- Proven experience in project management, budgeting, and contractor/vendor coordination.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in AI, HPC, or hyperscale data center environments.
- Familiarity with LEED, ASHRAE, Uptime Institute Tier Standards, and data center cooling/power best practices.
Compensation
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time role is $123,200 to $184,800, with bonus, LTIP, and benefits on top. Actual pay within this range will depend on factors such as the specific work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
