Data Center Electrical Systems Engineer

The Data Center Electrical Systems Engineer will engage in evaluating emerging technologies and driving the development of next-generation mission-critical systems within our Global Data Center Segment. This role prioritizes future capability development while ensuring a robust engineering foundation, enabling data centers to optimize operations in a competitive landscape.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide technical engineering leadership and expertise in the design and development of low voltage (LV), medium voltage (MV), uninterruptible power supply (UPS), energy storage, and other applicable data center electrical systems and solutions.
• Conduct detailed technical engineering analyses and offer recommendations for enhancing electrical systems and processes.
• Focus on early company system approvals by vendors (Approved Vendor List) for programmatic buys through your technical engineering skillset.
• Offer adhoc technical engineering system design support for customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design & Bid, engineering, operations, and business, to ensure successful implementation of electrical projects with innovative engineering solutions addressing complex challenges.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation in electrical design.
• Continuously improve processes and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of electrical design and implementation.
• Work with local agencies to ensure compliance with IEC, EU requirements, and building codes.
• Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests before, during, and after construction phases.
• Push boundaries in the company’s Data Centers design offering by remaining well-informed about the latest research, industry trends, and technologies.
• Represent the company as an Industry solutions expert, developing trusted and influential relationships with clients, consultants, partners, and industry peers.
• Contribute to and support marketing campaigns & activities that promote the company to clients and business.
• Manage concurrent projects effectively.
• Support site reviews and collaborate with onsite field engineers, providing engineering evaluations, electrical systems audits, and startup assistance as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics engineering.
• Over 8 years of experience in data center systems design engineering.

Skills:

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Customer-oriented mindset with a strong technical advisory approach.
• Familiarity and experience with NFPA 70 & UL design standards is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in English (proficiency in Arabic is a plus).
