What You’ll Do:
- Provide technical engineering leadership and expertise in the design and development of LV, MV, UPS, energy storage, and other applicable data center electrical systems and solutions.
- Conduct detailed technical engineering analyses and provide recommendations for improving electrical systems and processes.
- Focus on early system approvals by vendors (AVL) to facilitate programmatic buys using technical engineering skillsets.
- Provide adhoc technical engineering system design support for customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design & Bid, engineering, operations, and Business, to ensure successful implementation of electrical projects.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to drive innovation in electrical design.
- Continuously improve processes and methodologies for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness of electrical design and implementation.
- Work with local agencies to ensure compliance with IEC, EU requirements, and building codes.
- Define project scope and offer technical support for information requests before and during construction phases.
- Drive innovation within the Data Centres design offering by keeping informed of recent research, industry trends, and technologies.
- Represent the company as an Industry solutions expert, developing trusted relationships with Clients, Consultants, Partners, and Industry peers.
- Contribute to marketing campaigns and activities that promote the company’s business.
- Manage concurrent projects effectively.
- Support site reviews and collaborate with onsite field engineers, providing engineering evaluations, electrical systems audits, and startup as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in data center systems design engineering.
Skills:
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a strong technical advisory approach.
- Familiarity and experience with NPFA 70 & UL design standards are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
