Data Center Engineer

Penta Consulting is a technology service provider and leading outsourced partner delivering professional and managed solutions across EMEA. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Center Engineer to join our client on-site in Abu Dhabi, supporting mission-critical infrastructure in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage Cisco Data Center technologies including Cisco ACI, UCS, and Nexus switches.
• Design and support cloud infrastructure platforms such as OpenStack, Apache CloudStack, VMware VCF, and Red Hat OpenShift.
• Leverage SDN, NFV, VXLAN, and spine-leaf architecture for scalable and resilient data center networking.
• Dive into ML2 Plugin architecture and Neutron networking concepts, including router ports, floating IPs, SNAT/DNAT, and provider vs. tenant networks.
• Work with distributed and centralized routing models integrated into physical networks.
• Support IaaS features such as LBaaS, VPNaaS, and WAFaaS.
• Conduct packet tracing and traffic analysis using OVS flows, with hands-on experience in OVS and Linux-Bridge.
• Manage BGP, ECMP, MTU, and high-performance spine-leaf topologies.
• Explore network functions virtualization (SR-IOV, DPDK).
• Integrate Kubernetes with OpenStack and physical networks.
• Implement Kubernetes networking, CNI plugins, and services such as LoadBalancer.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes load balancing mechanisms, including integration with external load balancers (e.g., MetalLB).
