What You Will Do
The Engineering Operations team serves as the company's front-line responders for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operations. You will work with mission-critical equipment maintaining better than 99.999% uptime, including:
- Stand-by diesel generators and switchgear
- Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPSs) and Power Distribution Units (PDUs)
- Air Handling Units (AHUs), chillers, and cooling towers
- Chemical treatment systems, pumps, motors, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Building automation systems
Your daily responsibilities include:
- Maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment
- Assisting with root cause analysis of equipment failures
- Troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Taking daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment
- Using internal Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to manage building workflows
- Interacting with third-party vendors and contractors working on-site
Internship Structure
- Full-time position (40 hours/week) for 3 consecutive months starting in summer 2027
- Daily onsite reporting required
- Typical work schedule: Sunday through Thursday, during standard day hours
- Full-time positions operate on a rotating shift pattern, including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays
Who Should Apply

- Students in their final year of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Candidates must graduate by the end of the internship
- Applicants must have a valid driving license and access to personal transportation due to the remote location of the data center with no public transport access
Basic Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, graduating in 2027
- Proficiency in professional English, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with strong time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in program or project management
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, including Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and controls
