In this role, you will join a diverse team that includes software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. Key Responsibilities
Safety
- Uphold and maintain the highest safety standards, fostering a world-class safety culture.
- Collaborate with facility owner teams to address safety risks/issues and lead safety initiatives and projects.
Engineering & Facility Operations and Maintenance
- Support electrical and mechanical equipment, including Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPSs), Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATSs), Diesel Generators, Chillers, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and Transformers.
- Operate and maintain critical infrastructure, including mechanical and electrical systems, emergency generators, HVAC, and fire/life safety equipment.
- Troubleshoot facility and equipment issues within internal SLAs.
- Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Drive innovative solutions while reducing operational costs in the facilities.
A Day in the Life
- Work in rotational shifts consisting of 4 days of 12-hour shifts (2 days followed by 2 nights), followed by 4 days off, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Respond to emergency calls on an on-call rotation basis.
- Take daily operational readings of mechanical and electrical equipment during routine rounds.
- Supervise contractors during servicing or preventive maintenance.
- Carry out required tasks, which may include moving objects/material (in accordance with weight limits), working in outdoor weather conditions, in noisy environments, and at heights.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a similar technical focus.
- Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory.
- Understanding of mechanical systems, including mechanical and HVAC systems, as well as controls.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in data center engineering.
