Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician

As a the company Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician (DIAT), you will perform cycle audits, execute incoming/outgoing deliveries, coordinate security escorts for third-party vendors, and document inbound and outbound deliveries. This position provides an opportunity to deepen your knowledge of inventory management principles, warranty process management, and data bearing device destruction while advancing your career. The company's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a CO+I DIAT, you will play a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for the company's online services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the company's Azure platform. Location: United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Work Conditions: - Fully on-site - Travel: Less than 25% Responsibilities: - Perform assigned tasks and escalate issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations. - Coordinate with suppliers to initiate warranty claims and process failed vendor hardware devices, including information processing, packaging, shipment, and receipt of returns as per Service Level Agreements (SLAs). - Maintain up-to-date and accurate information within various inventory management systems. - Ensure detailed physical inventory tracking and staging. - Help reconcile and report inventory discrepancies. - Perform destruction of data bearing devices (DBD) in compliance with SLAs and the company's policies. - Notify management about stock shortages and escalate issues as needed. - Comply with security and data management policies. Required Qualifications: - High School Diploma AND experience in warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment, inventory management, retail, or warehouse management, or equivalent experience. - Ability to meet the company's, customer, and/or government security screening requirements. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment, logistics, or operating heavy-load movement equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jacks) for a large corporation, or equivalent experience. This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled.
