As a Microsoft Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician (DIAT), you will be responsible for performing cycle audits, executing incoming and outgoing deliveries, coordinating security escorts for third-party vendors, and documenting all inbound and outbound deliveries. Responsibilities
- Perform assigned tasks and escalate issues during high-volume work activities or escalation-based situations.
- Coordinate with suppliers to initiate warranty claims and manage failed vendor hardware devices, following all Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in various inventory management systems.
- Help to reconcile and report inventory discrepancies.
- Execute the destruction of data bearing devices in accordance with SLAs and Microsoft policies.
- Notify management regarding stock shortages and escalate issues as needed.
- Adhere to security and data management policies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma AND experience in warehouse or supply chain management within an IT environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Must meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements for the role.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in warehouse or supply chain management in an IT environment, logistics, or operating heavy-load movement equipment for a large corporation.
