Responsibilities
- Empower a culture of safety, security, service availability, and compliance in all aspects of data center operations.
- Leadership, management, coaching, and development of full-time employees across data centers in your metro.
- Accountable for the ongoing IT and Critical Environment (CE) support for all service lines, ensuring the on-time and defect-free delivery of customer capacity within our SLA commitments.
- Ensure the planning and delivery of all supporting physical infrastructure, logistics, and the resources required to meet anticipated growth within your Metro.
- Actively participate in incident management procedures relating to major incidents that impact cloud services in your Metro.
- Manage financial operations including the development of detailed budgets and forecasts, along with the management of operational and capital spend.
- Collaborate with global and regional management teams and contribute to improvement programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent AND 10+ years of experience in mission-critical service management (e.g., IT services, manufacturing, warehouse, retail, military, or managing physical operations in IT and/or critical environment infrastructure).
- 5+ years leading and directly managing a diverse organization of full-time employees across multiple disciplines and platforms.
- Preferred: 7+ years' enterprise-level experience managing large-scale and complex projects/programs, and 7+ years' experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU).
- Experience managing budgets of $5M+.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 7+ years leading a diverse technical workforce or 10+ years managing global and virtual teams.
- Applicable certifications: ASICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA, Network Certifications, CCNA Certifications, ITIL v3 Foundation, Operations Framework (MOF) Certifications, Leadership Development Certifications, PMP, CDCP.
