Position

As a Data Center Project Manager (DCPM), you will be responsible for troubleshooting service incidents, managing projects to meet service delivery objectives, and escalating issues to stakeholders when necessary. Your role will include adhering to safety policies and procedures, participating in root cause analysis (RCA) of incidents, and building an understanding of data center procedures. This position also involves collaboration across various teams and sharing best practices to mentor across data centers.

You will play a crucial role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for the company's online services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the company's Azure platform. The Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) group, where this role is situated, emphasizes both personal and professional development through training and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to budget requirements and manage costs effectively.
  • Report any safety or security issues immediately and follow established protocols.
  • Perform troubleshooting for service incidents to minimize disruption.
  • Communicate potential customer impacts and plan accordingly.
  • Manage client and supplier relationships to ensure expectations are met.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with maintenance activities.
  • Uphold service quality and customer experience standards.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND 1+ years of industry experience, or 2+ years of industry experience with college coursework.
  • Ability to meet the company's and government security screening requirements.

Preferred:

  • 2+ years’ experience in Critical Environment infrastructures or physical IT infrastructures.
  • Technical degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as ASICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network Certifications, PMP, ITIL, CDCP.
