This internship is designed as a potential pathway to full-time employment. Interns who demonstrate strong performance may be considered for a full-time Data Center Technician position, subject to available roles and business needs.

Who Should Apply
We welcome applications from:

  • Students in their final year of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Information Technology, Computer Hardware Repair, or similar disciplines. It is essential to be graduated by the end of the internship.

Important — Site Location & Commuting
This role is based at a data center facility in a remote location with no public transportation access. A valid driving license and access to personal transportation are required for daily commuting to the site.

What You Will Do
In this role, you will work as part of the Operations team, primarily focused on the maintenance and upkeep of the data center infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include hardware and network diagnostics, followed by physical repairs. You will be exposed to both independent work and team-based collaboration. Key tasks include:

  • Troubleshooting server hardware alongside experienced technicians
  • Meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) against assigned trouble tickets
  • Shadowing technicians during network troubleshooting to build your diagnostic skills
  • Replacing media (Solid State Drives and Hard Disk Drives) per Data Tech guidance
  • Performing regular server hardware repairs (drives, motherboards, and other components) under the guidance of experienced technicians
  • Interacting with third-party vendors and contractors on site

Internship Structure
Internships are full-time (40 hours per week) for 3 consecutive months, starting in summer 2027. This position requires the intern to report to work on site daily. Intern schedules are typically day schedules, Sunday through Thursday. Note that a full-time Data Center Technician position may involve day, evening, or weekend shifts and on-call rotations, and candidates should be prepared to commit to shift work upon transitioning to a full-time role.

About the Team
Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all global infrastructure. This diverse team includes engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers, collaborating to maintain safety and security while ensuring efficient resource provision at the lowest cost for customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Information Technology, Computer Hardware Repair, or similar, graduating in 2027, before the internship's end date.
  • Professional English proficiency, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with strong time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of Linux and networking.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware components.
  • Ability to manage work and priorities through a ticketing system and in coordination with a manager.
  • An interest in computer sciences and information technology.
