Who Should Apply
We welcome applications from:

  • Students in their final year of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Information Technology or Computer Hardware Repair. Graduation must occur by the end of the internship.

Important — Site Location & Commuting

  • This role is based at a remote data center facility with no public transportation access; therefore, a valid driving license and personal transportation are required for daily commuting.

What You Will Do
As part of the Operations team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing internal teams with infrastructure-related support, including resolving hardware and networking tickets.
  • Troubleshooting server hardware alongside experienced technicians.
  • Meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) against assigned trouble tickets.
  • Shadowing technicians during network troubleshooting to develop diagnostic skills.
  • Replacing media (Solid State Drives and Hard Disk Drives) in line with Data Tech guidance.
  • Performing regular hardware repairs on servers (drives, motherboards, and other components) under technician guidance.
  • Interacting with third-party vendors and contractors on-site.

Internship Structure

  • The internship is a full-time role (40 hours per week) for 3 consecutive months, starting in summer 2027.
  • Interns are required to report on-site daily, with typical schedules being Sunday through Thursday.
  • Full-time Data Center Technician positions may require day, evening, or weekend shifts and on-call rotations. Candidates should be prepared for shift work if transitioning to a full-time position.

Basic Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Hardware Repair, or a related field, with graduation in 2027 or earlier.
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong team collaboration skills and time management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of Linux and networking.
  • Familiarity with computer hardware components.
  • Ability to manage work through a ticketing system and coordinate with management.
  • An interest in computer sciences and information technology.
