About the Job:
As a Data Center Technician at the company, you will be responsible for delivering hands-on technical support and installations within a Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) data center. Your responsibilities will include server hardware and network break-fix tasks, structured cabling installation, rack deployments, decommissioning activities, site planning, and problem escalation. You will prioritize ticketing queues, resolve incidents and escalations, and work to clear blocking issues aligned with internal policies and service level agreements.
This role requires working in cramped spaces and elevated locations, and it will involve on-call duties, necessitating a driving license and the ability to reach the data center site within 60 minutes. You will provide client-facing support and must be comfortable communicating clearly in a virtual environment.

About the Candidate:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- Hands-on experience in IT infrastructure support, server and network maintenance, and structured cabling in large-scale mission-critical environments.
- Experience and understanding of data center infrastructure and facility operations.
- Strong adherence to processes and procedures.
- Good communication skills (oral & written) and ability to interact professionally with diverse customers and staff.
- Ability to work productively in remote cross-functional teams.
Required Experience:
- Hands-on experience in server and network hardware installation, break-fix, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of structured cabling and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Experience with new rack deployments and rack decommissioning activities.
- Adequate knowledge of airflow management (hot aisle, cold aisle, containment).
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command line tools.
- Experience with data center operations involving critical incidents and preventive maintenance.
Language Requirements:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English is necessary.
