Position

As a Microsoft Data Center Technician (DCT), you will stage, set up, and perform hardware deployments. You will also perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on equipment, as well as execute hardware decommissions for simple changes and refreshes, following Standard Operating Procedures. This opportunity will enhance your understanding of data center standard processes and procedures and develop mentoring skills while guiding peers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting, quickly identifying issues and replacing components with minimal disruption.
  • Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure safety protocols and deployment standards are met.
  • Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes following standard procedures.
  • Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to data center operations management and engineering specialists.
  • Assist and guide other technicians with challenging tasks.
  • Complete required training and observe experienced technicians for hands-on experience.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing information and participating in team meetings.
  • Demonstrate pride and accountability for service quality and user experience.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent with basic knowledge of computer hardware and components
  • 1+ years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years' experience supporting IT equipment or related technology
  • Certifications: CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC)
