Position

The Data Center Technician role involves providing effective delivery of hands-on technical support and installations within a data center located in Kuwait. Key responsibilities include performing server hardware and network break-fix tasks, structured cabling installation, rack deployments, and decommissioning activities. The technician will prioritize ticketing queues, resolve incidents and escalations, and clear blocking issues to ensure continued delivery of technician activities in line with internal policies and service level agreements. Additionally, the role requires providing 24x7 site coverage for the data center sites, working as a liaison for hardware support, and participating in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of all production server and network hardware.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Candidates should have hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure support, server and network maintenance, and structured cabling in a large-scale mission-critical environment.
  • On-call availability and the ability to reach the data center site within 60 minutes are necessary.
  • Strong communication skills in a virtual environment and the ability to interact professionally with diverse customers and staff are essential.
  • Experience is required in providing client-facing support and working productively within remote cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Hardware support expert liaison to both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server and network hardware.
  • Perform system board level repairs and fault diagnosis within service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Conduct structured cabling installations and manage new whitespace and rack positions.
  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance audits.
  • Adhere to defined health & safety processes and security policies.
  • Collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team and maintain current knowledge of the latest technologies.
