Job Description
Responsible for effective delivery of hands-on technical support and installations in a Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) datacenter. This role includes server hardware and network break-fix tasks, structured cabling installation, rack deployments, decommissioning activities, site planning, problem escalation, and prioritization of ticket queues. The technician will resolve incidents and escalations to clear blocking issues, enabling continued delivery of technical activities in accordance with internal policies and service level agreements. The position provides 24x7 site coverage for the company OCI datacenter sites.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems OR equivalent work experience
- Hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure support, server and network maintenance, and structured cabling in a large-scale mission-critical environment
- Adequate knowledge of data center infrastructure and facility operations, including mechanical and electrical systems
- Hands-on experience with server and network hardware installation, break-fix, and troubleshooting
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently in a virtual environment
- Strong adherence to processes and procedures, acting as a Process Champion
Responsibilities
- Act as Hardware support expert liaison to other technical & non-technical teams (e.g. networking, compute, compliance, business operations)
- Understand internal customer problems and provide hands-on technical solutions in a timely manner
- Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server and network hardware
- Perform system board-level repair and fault diagnosis within SLAs
- Participate in structured cabling installation, planning, and commissioning new whitespaces and rack positions
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance audits
Work Conditions
- On-call responsibilities are required, necessitating a driving license and the ability to reach the Data Center site within 60 minutes
- Ability to work in cramped spaces or elevated locations
- Willingness to work at customer locations is necessary
