Position

As a the company Data Center Technician (DCT), you will play a vital role in staging, setting up, and performing hardware deployments in our data center. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment, as well as decommissioning hardware for simple changes and refreshes, all in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. This position provides an opportunity to deepen your knowledge of data center processes, develop mentoring skills while guiding peers, and familiarize yourself with security and data management policies.

You will contribute to delivering core infrastructure and foundational technologies for the company's online services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the the company's Azure platform. Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures.
  • Identify and replace faulty components with minimal disruption.
  • Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure proper setup according to safety protocols and deployment standards.
  • Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes.
  • Communicate and escalate incidents to appropriate management and engineering specialists.
  • Assist and guide other technicians on complex tasks.
  • Complete required training and gain hands-on experience.
  • Contribute to a positive and effective team environment by sharing information and actively participating in team activities.
  • Maintain accountability for service quality and the overall user experience.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
  • Experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional experience in supporting IT equipment.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+).
