Position

As a Data Center Technician (DCT), you will stage, set up, and perform hardware deployments. Your key responsibilities will include troubleshooting and diagnostics on equipment, as well as hardware decommissions for simple changes and refreshes following Standard Operating Procedures. In the role of DCT, you will contribute to delivering core infrastructure and foundational technologies for the company's online services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the company's Azure platform. Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting, quickly identifying issues and replacing faulty components with minimal disruption.
  • Conduct post-execution quality checks, ensuring safety protocols and deployment standards are met.
  • Decommission hardware for changes and refreshes as per standard procedures.
  • Communicate and escalate incidents to management and engineering specialists.
  • Train and guide peers on complex tasks to foster team growth and knowledge sharing.
  • Take ownership of service quality, completeness, and user experience.

Qualifications:

  • Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, with basic knowledge of computer hardware and components, along with experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • Desired: 2+ years of experience supporting IT equipment and applicable certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).
  • Ability to meet the company's, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
