Data Center Technician

The Data Center Technician position involves delivering effective technical support and installations, focusing on hardware, network, cabling, and rack deployments, alongside site planning and problem escalation within a cloud infrastructure datacenter. Key responsibilities include managing installations, prioritizing ticketing queues, and resolving escalations to ensure constant technician activity while adhering to internal policies and service level agreements. This role emphasizes on-call duties and may require access to the data center site within approximately 60 minutes, as well as working in cramped or elevated spaces.

Candidates should have a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent work experience, along with experience in IT Infrastructure support in environments with 200-1000+ server systems. Essential qualifications include:

• Basic comprehension of data center design, electrical, and cooling operations.
• Proficiency in structured cabling for fiber and copper.
• Systems administration skills in Linux and/or Windows Servers.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals such as DNS and TCP/IP.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
