Data Center Technician

Oracle is seeking a Data Center Technician with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in IT Infrastructure support and server administration in a mid-sized environment (200 - 1000+ server systems) and be familiar with data center M&E equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a support expert liaison to technical and non-technical teams.
• Understand customer problems and provide technical solutions in a timely manner.
• Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware.
• Conduct system board level repair and fault diagnosis to service level agreements (SLAs).
• Plan and commission new rack positions and design new whitespaces.
• Install structured cabling as a significant part of the position.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and apply them appropriately.
• Adhere to defined Health & Safety processes at all times while working in a team environment.

Required Skills:

• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Experience providing client-facing customer support.
• Ability to work productively in remote cross-functional teams or independently.
• Basic knowledge of data center design, airflow management, and structured cabling skills on fibre and copper.
• Systems administration (Linux/Windows Servers), hardware repair, and networking fundamentals.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.

Location: United Arab Emirates (Remote)
Work Conditions: Full-time, On-call (must be within 60 minutes of the Data Center site), may require working in cramped spaces or elevated locations.
