Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures, quickly identifying issues and replacing faulty components with minimal disruption.
- Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure proper setup following safety protocols and deployment standards.
- Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes following standard procedures with minimal guidance.
- Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to Microsoft operations management, Technician Leads, and engineering specialists.
- Assist other technicians with challenging or complex tasks and provide guidance.
- Complete required training aligned with the role and workload, and observe more experienced technicians for hands-on experience.
- Contribute to a positive team environment through information sharing, participation in team meetings, and support for colleagues.
- Display accountability and ownership of service quality and user experience.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent with basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
- 1+ year(s) experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
Background Check Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements is essential for this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years' experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
- Applicable certifications: CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).
