Job Description:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in IT Infrastructure support and server administration in a mid-sized environment (200 - 1000+ server systems).
- Familiarity with data center M&E equipment is essential.
- Proven track record of problem-solving in a mission-critical operations environment.
- On-call responsibilities; a valid driving license is needed to reach the Data Center site within approximately 60 minutes, and may require working in cramped spaces or elevated locations.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally in a virtual environment.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in client-facing, direct customer support and service.
- Ability to work productively in remote teams or independently.
Key Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of data center design, including electrical and cooling operations.
- Knowledge of airflow management (hot aisle, cold aisle, containment, etc.).
- Skills in rack, stacking equipment and commissioning new racks.
- Proficiency in structured cabling (fiber & copper).
- Systems administration experience with Linux and/or Windows Servers.
- Hardware repair, diagnosis, and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, basic troubleshooting).
- Familiarity with IT hardware concepts (RAID, SAN, x86 architecture, etc.).
- Knowledge of core operating system services (SSH, Telnet, RDP, FTP, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Act as a support expert liaison between technical and non-technical teams.
- Provide timely technical solutions for internal customer problems.
- Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of all production server hardware.
- Engage in system board level repair and fault diagnosis.
- Plan and commission new rack positions and be involved with the design and commissioning of new spaces.
- Install structured cabling as part of the position.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and apply appropriately.
- Adhere to defined Health & Safety processes at all times.
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team and perform additional on-premise work at customer locations as required.
Language Requirement:
Good command of English is required.
