This position is focused on delivering hands-on technical support and installations within a Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) data center in Qatar. Responsibilities include performing server hardware and network break-fix tasks, structured cabling installation, rack deployments, and decommissioning activities. The technician will prioritize ticketing queues, resolve incidents and escalations, and clear blocking issues to ensure the smooth operation of the data center, all while adhering to internal policies and service level agreements. This role requires providing 24x7 onsite coverage and effective communication with both technical and non-technical teams.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
- Hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure support, server and network maintenance, and structured cabling in a large-scale mission-critical environment
- Ability to communicate clearly in a virtual environment
- Strong adherence to processes and procedures and act as a Process Champion
- Experience in providing client-facing, direct customer support and service
- Proficient in server and network hardware installation, break-fix, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of data center infrastructure and facility operations, including mechanical and electrical systems
- Familiarity with airflow management techniques (hot aisle, cold aisle, containment, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Serve as a hardware support expert liaison to various teams (e.g., networking, compute, compliance, business operations)
- Engage in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server and network hardware
- Conduct system board level repairs and fault diagnosis within SLAs
- Execute structured cabling installations as a significant aspect of the role
- Plan and commission new whitespace and rack positions
- Oversee rack receiving, installation, and decommissioning activities
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance audits
- Follow defined health & safety processes
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and contribute as a team player
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and apply them as needed.
