Data Center Technician

As a Data Center Technician (DCT), you will stage, set up and perform hardware deployments and troubleshooting on equipment. You'll also perform hardware decommissions for simple changes and refreshes following standard operating procedures. This role is critical in supporting the company's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) and the infrastructures behind services such as Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the company's Azure platform. You will be responsible for:

• Diagnosing and troubleshooting following standard procedures to identify issues and replace faulty components.
• Performing quality checks post-execution to ensure proper setup of grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling according to safety protocols and deployment standards.
• Assisting and mentoring peers while ensuring accountability and maintaining service quality.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
• Experience supporting IT equipment or related technology is preferred.
• Certification in CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+) and Basic Structure Cabling (BSC) is a plus.

Background Check Requirements:
Candidates must meet the company's, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, which include passing the company's Cloud background check upon hire and every two years thereafter.
