As a Data Center Technician (DCT), you will be responsible for staging, setting up, and performing hardware deployments. This role involves troubleshooting and diagnostics on equipment, as well as conducting hardware decommissions for basic changes and refreshes in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. This opportunity not only allows you to deepen your understanding of Data Center standard processes and procedures but also helps develop your mentoring skills while providing guidance to peers. Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting by following standard procedures, quickly identifying the cause(s) of issues, and replacing faulty components with minimal customer and business disruption.
  • Conduct post-execution quality checks and verify that grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling are set up correctly according to safety protocols, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs).
  • Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes (e.g., memory upgrades, rebuilds) following standard procedures with minimal guidance.
  • Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to appropriate data center operations management units, Technician Leads, and engineering specialists according to established procedures.
  • Assist and provide guidance to other technicians to help complete challenging or complex tasks.
  • Complete required training aligned to the role and workload, observing more experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience.
  • Contribute to a positive and effective team environment by sharing information, participating in regular team meetings, asking questions, and staying informed of the status of others' work.
  • Maintain pride and accountability for service quality, completeness, and the resulting user experience; demonstrate ownership of the data center facilities.
  • Embody and uphold the company’s culture and values.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and basic knowledge of computer hardware and components, along with experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.

Background Check Requirements:
Candidates must meet the company, customer, and/or government security screening requirements for this role. Specifically, this includes the following specialized security screenings:

  • Company Cloud Background Check: Candidates will need to pass the company Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

While not mandatory, the following Preferred Qualifications are desirable:

  • Experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • Applicable certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+) and Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).

This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
