Position

Responsible for effective delivery of hands-on technical support and installations in the United Arab Emirates. This includes server hardware and network break-fix tasks, structured cabling installation, rack deployments and decommissioning activities, site planning, problem escalation, and performing installations in a cloud infrastructure datacenter. The role also involves prioritizing ticketing queues, resolving incidents and escalations, and clearing blocking issues to enable continued delivery of hands-on technician activities in accordance with internal policies and service level agreements. Additionally, the position requires providing 24x7 site coverage for the datacenter sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems OR equivalent work experience
  • Hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure support, server and network maintenance, and structured cabling in a large-scale mission-critical environment
  • Hands-on experience and adequate understanding of data center infrastructure and facility operations
  • On-call availability; must have a driving license and be able to reach the Data Center site within 60 minutes
  • Ability to work in cramped spaces or elevated locations
  • Proficient in oral and written communication with diverse groups
  • Experience providing client-facing customer support
  • Ability to work productively in remote cross-functional teams
  • Highly service-oriented and self-motivated

Responsibilities

  • Act as Hardware support expert liaison to other technical & non-technical teams (e.g. networking, compute, compliance, business operations)
  • Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server and network hardware
  • Perform system board level repair and fault diagnosis within SLAs
  • Conduct structured cabling installation
  • Plan and commission new whitespaces and rack positions
  • Conduct rack receiving, installation, and decommissioning activities
  • Perform compliance audits on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Adhere to physical security policies and defined health & safety processes
