Position

As a Data Center Technician at Oracle, you will be responsible for providing IT infrastructure support and server administration within a mid-sized environment (200 - 1000+ server systems). You will work with data center mechanical and electrical (M&E) equipment and play a critical role in maintaining a mission-critical operations environment. This position requires on-call availability, necessitating a driving license and the ability to reach the Data Center site within 60 minutes. Physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 kg and working in cramped spaces or elevated locations are part of the role.

Location: Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia (On-site)
Work Conditions: Full-time, On-site

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with basic data center design, including electrical and cooling plant operation.
  • Strong skills in structured cabling, including fiber and copper (looming, terminating, testing).
  • Proficiency in systems administration (Linux and/or Windows Servers) and hardware repair.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP) and IT hardware concepts (RAID, SAN, x86 architecture).
  • Ability to communicate professionally with a diverse group of customers and staff.
  • Experience providing customer support and working productively in remote cross-functional teams.

Language Requirements:

  • Proficient in English (oral and written)

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a hardware support expert liaison to both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Understand internal customer problems and provide timely technical solutions.
  • Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of production server hardware.
  • Perform system board-level repairs and fault diagnosis.
  • Plan and commission new rack positions and structured cabling installations.
  • Adhere to defined health and safety processes at all times.
