Position

As a Data Center Technician at Oracle, you will play a critical role in supporting our IT infrastructure and server administration in a mid-sized environment (200 - 1000+ server systems). Your responsibilities will include managing data center M&E equipment, providing direct customer support, and working in a mission-critical operations environment.

Work Conditions: Full-time, On-call (must be able to reach the Data Center site within 60 minutes)
Location: Saudi Arabia (On-site)

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a hardware support expert liaison to technical and non-technical teams, providing timely technical solutions to internal customer problems.
  • Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of all production server hardware.
  • Perform system board level repair and fault diagnosis to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Plan and commission new rack positions and participate in the design and commissioning of new whitespace areas.
  • Ensure structured cabling installation meets standards and keep up with the latest technologies.
  • Adhere to defined Health & Safety processes at all times while working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

About the Candidate:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in IT Infrastructure support and server administration in a mid-sized environment.
  • Basic knowledge of data center design including electrical and cooling plant operations and airflow management.
  • Skills in structured cabling (fiber & copper), systems administration (Linux and/or Windows Servers), networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP), and IT hardware concepts.
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written) and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers and staff.
  • Ability to work productively in remote cross-functional teams or independently.
  • Good command of English is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 Kg and work in cramped spaces or elevated locations.
