As a Data Center Technician at Oracle, you will play a critical role in supporting our IT infrastructure and server administration in a mid-sized environment (200 - 1000+ server systems). Work Conditions: Full-time, On-call (must be able to reach the Data Center site within 60 minutes)
Location: Saudi Arabia (On-site)
Responsibilities:
- Act as a hardware support expert liaison to technical and non-technical teams, providing timely technical solutions to internal customer problems.
- Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of all production server hardware.
- Perform system board level repair and fault diagnosis to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
- Plan and commission new rack positions and participate in the design and commissioning of new whitespace areas.
- Ensure structured cabling installation meets standards and keep up with the latest technologies.
- Adhere to defined Health & Safety processes at all times while working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
About the Candidate:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in IT Infrastructure support and server administration in a mid-sized environment.
- Basic knowledge of data center design including electrical and cooling plant operations and airflow management.
- Skills in structured cabling (fiber & copper), systems administration (Linux and/or Windows Servers), networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP), and IT hardware concepts.
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written) and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers and staff.
- Ability to work productively in remote cross-functional teams or independently.
- Good command of English is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 Kg and work in cramped spaces or elevated locations.
