Data Center Technician/Engineer

AWS has an exciting opportunity for a Data Center Technician/Engineer in Dubai aimed at UAE nationals with family book. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring continual access to innovative cloud services for our customers. You will join a diverse team of engineers and specialists to deliver high standards for safety and security while maintaining cost efficiency. In this role, you will troubleshoot a range of datacenter infrastructure issues, including hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of DCO procedures including break-and-fix repairs, host-level decommissions, server rack decommissions, media removal, media destruction, and first responder duties.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues using SOPs and available documentation; escalate when actions deviate from established procedures.
• Communicate clearly via tickets, task tracking entries, and write-ups, while participating effectively in team meetings and presenting work to leaders.
• Deliver work that impacts team metrics including ticket resolution, decommissioning throughput, and safety compliance.
• Adhere to all DC safety protocols during operations and support safety inspections to maintain site compliance standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience with datacenter operations and procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for various hardware and software issues.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a team environment.
