Responsibilities

  • Delivering success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and fostering a positive team culture.
  • Accountable for overall data center service compliance and quality.
  • Provide guidance and ensure team accountability for compliance with Data Center Services (DCS) policies, procedures, and service-change policies.
  • Ensure technicians are trained in installation, deployment, replacement, and post-execution quality check processes.
  • Verify and correct post-execution quality checks performed by technicians.
  • Escalate issues through appropriate channels, follow up on resolutions, and share knowledge of issue resolution with relevant teams.
  • Review process changes to evaluate impact on service execution; share pertinent information with stakeholders across functions and disciplines.
  • Lead team and triage meetings, prioritize and rebalance work as needed.
  • Complete required safety training, lead daily safety briefings, and participate in on-site safety committees.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures regarding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), equipment use, and safety practices.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and basic knowledge of computer hardware and components, combined with 3+ years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology, or related experience working with technical teams.
  • At least 1 year of experience directing, supervising, or managing others.
  • Ability to work shifts, including non-standard hours such as evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Background Check Requirements:
Successful candidates must meet the company's, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the company Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • 3+ years of experience in a production, mission-critical 24x7x365 data center environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation, ASICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC), Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP), company Certified Professional (MCP), or Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • 2+ years of experience leading diverse technical or IT teams of up to ten employees.
