Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end client delivery for data science and AI projects, ensuring successful outcomes aligned with the company's processes.
- Manage client relationships and expectations, representing delivery at the governance level.
- Coordinate multiple activity streams and clients, ensuring seamless delivery across finance, sourcing, implementation, and business objectives.
- Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams of product owners, architects, data scientists, engineers, and quality assurance to drive estimates, delivery plans, and retrospectives.
- Proactively identify and manage engagement risks, escalating major issues early.
- Participate in business development efforts for both existing clients and new projects, continuously identifying new opportunities in data science and AI.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field; Ph.D. is a plus.
- Client-facing skills and business fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in data management concepts such as data governance, data quality, data integration, and data lifecycle management.
- Advanced experience in data science, machine learning, and AI concepts, including model development, deployment, and monitoring.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex data and AI projects from initiation to delivery.
- Experience leading and managing teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of data technologies, including databases (SQL, NoSQL), data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift), ETL tools, and data science platforms (e.g., Databricks, SageMaker).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data and AI-related services.
- Hands-on experience implementing data delivery pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, database design principles, and statistical analysis.
