Data Engineer (Data Quality Focus)

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with a strong focus on Data Quality to join our large-scale Data & AI transformation program. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in designing and building end-to-end data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and implementing effective data management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using Python for reliable data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
2. Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes following the Medallion architecture pattern.
3. Write production-grade Python code for data processing and automation tasks.
4. Design and implement data models, schemas, and storage strategies for analytics.
5. Manage SQL transformations, stored procedures, and views for data validation.
6. Develop data ingestion frameworks, handling various source formats.
7. Implement data quality checks across dimensions like completeness and accuracy.
8. Monitor pipeline health and troubleshoot data issues in production.
9. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for data workloads.
10. Produce clear technical documentation for pipelines and data models.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong Python development skills and experience building production data pipelines (using pandas, PySpark, etc.).
• Solid SQL skills for complex queries and data transformations.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes at scale.
• Understanding of the Medallion architecture and data lake design patterns.
• Familiarity with data orchestration tools and cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Exposure to data quality tooling such as Informatica IDQ or Microsoft Purview.
• Familiarity with data governance platforms for policy management.
