Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Implement Innovative Data Solutions: Develop and maintain advanced ETL pipelines utilizing SQL, Python, and Generative AI.
- Orchestrate Complex Data Workflows: Use tools like Dagster and Airflow for sophisticated pipeline orchestration.
- Leverage Generative AI for Data Solutions: Create smart data solutions integrating external data sources and leveraging LLMs.
- Employ Prompt Engineering: Enhance the accuracy of generated responses through refined communication techniques.
- Utilize Embeddings and Vector Databases: Convert data into numerical formats for relevant searches.
- Incorporate Semantic Search Techniques: Implement to optimize contextually aware data retrieval processes.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to meet evolving data requirements.
- Ensure High-Quality Data Flow: Manage stream, batch, and Change Data Capture (CDC) processes.
- Enable Business User Empowerment: Prepare datasets using transformation tools like DBT for self-service analytics.
- Monitor and Enhance Pipeline Performance: Regularly check pipelines for performance and reliability.
Essential Experience:
- 7+ years of demonstrable experience as a Data Engineer.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Experience with modern cloud data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift.
- Expertise in ETL/ELT processes and building data pipelines.
- Knowledge of Generative AI, including techniques like Retrieval-Augmented Generation and prompt engineering.
- Familiarity with AWS services including DMS, Glue, and Athena.
- Experience with data transformation tools like DBT.
Desired Experience:
- Familiarity with AWS Bedrock and model fine-tuning.
- Knowledge of semantic search and application of LangChain techniques.
- Experience with orchestration tools like Dagster or Airflow.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.
