Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable and efficient data architectures to fulfill organizational data needs.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to gather data requirements.
- Develop and maintain data models tailored to the organization's data storage and retrieval requirements.
- Integrate data from diverse sources, including databases and APIs, to create a unified data view.
- Design, build, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data pipelines.
- Administer and optimize databases for performance and scalability.
- Implement data quality standards and ensure compliance with data governance policies.
- Monitor and resolve data quality issues to uphold data integrity.
- Utilize big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark for handling large datasets.
- Enforce data security measures to protect sensitive information.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes and models.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, data science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with ETL tools (Apache NiFi, Talend, Informatica).
- Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks (Hadoop, Spark).
- Knowledge of data modeling techniques and tools.
- Proficient in scripting languages for automation and data manipulation (SQL, Python).
- Willingness to stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in data engineering.
