In this position, you will leverage your technical expertise and client management skills to conduct consulting, product implementation, and solution development—acting as a critical point of contact between Denodo, our partners, and client teams, whether in short or long-term engagements.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Denodo Platform, allowing you to deliver compelling technical presentations that highlight key features, services, and competitive advantages.
- Stay informed of modern technologies and continually learn to enhance your skill set.
- Address technical questions about product customization, integration, enterprise architecture, and functionality.
- Lead the development of custom deployments aligned with client requirements.
- Provide timely and comprehensive feedback to various teams, including Product Management and Sales, based on client needs and issues.
- Conduct training for clients on the product architecture, configuration, and effective use of the Denodo Platform.
- Promote best practices and manage client expectations while fostering collaborative problem-solving partnerships.
- Develop technical consulting materials, presentations, documentation, and white papers on relevant topics.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, ideally within the data management or analytics software industry.
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational/analytical database management.
- Experience in Java software development, particularly in web and database contexts.
- Familiarity with JDBC, XML, and Web Services APIs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with technical and business counterparts.
- An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- A continuous desire to learn and innovate, along with a positive team-oriented attitude.
Non-Mandatory Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with version control systems like GIT.
- Background in Big Data or NoSQL environments such as Hadoop or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with caching technologies and server environments including Windows, Linux, and UNIX.
- Experience in business software implementation and integration projects.
- Familiarity with packaged application integrations (e.g., relational databases, BI tools).
- Experience in drafting technical documentation and participating in customer meetings.
- Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
