As a Data Engineer, you will be involved in shaping the future of the company. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and Scaling Data Pipelines: Build and maintain reliable batch and streaming pipelines, ensuring seamless data flow across our platform.
  • Streaming Data at Scale: Work with Kafka, Schema Registry, and event-driven architectures for real-time data products.
  • Pipeline Orchestration: Use Airflow for automating complex workflows and ensuring data availability for analytics and business processes.
  • Data Infrastructure & Cloud Services: Utilize AWS tools to construct scalable data services and optimize storage and costs.
  • Data Quality & Observability: Implement testing frameworks and monitoring for data reliability.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Automate deployment processes with tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Optimize for Scale and Performance: Improve throughput, latency, and cost efficiency of data pipelines.
  • Modeling & Governance: Apply data modeling fundamentals and enforce data governance.
  • Collaboration for Impact: Partner with various teams to translate requirements into efficient data solutions.
  • Automation & CI/CD: Implement practices for high-quality, production-ready code in data pipelines.

Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time; Hybrid in Dubai or Madrid, with remote options available anywhere in the EU. Relocation support to Dubai or Madrid is also offered.

Language Requirements: Not specified, but proficient English is typically assumed in a multinational work environment.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role or Analytics Engineering with significant pipeline/infrastructure experience.
  • Proficiency in Python for ETL, orchestration, and automation tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with building DAGs and managing workflows using Airflow (or an equivalent tool).
  • Familiarity with event streaming systems (Kafka, Schema Registry) as well as traditional batch pipelines.
  • Practical experience with AWS services (S3, ECR, ECS, IAM, etc.).
  • Strong SQL skills, with exposure to cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred).
  • Ability to design scalable, simple data models and work collaboratively with various teams to create data solutions.
